Proposed changes for Wikipedia page for EcoR1: -why EcoR1 is a popular choice of restriction enzyme: simple enzyme, high affinity for its recognition site (http://www.jbc.org/content/274/45/31896.full#F1) -how EcoR1 can lose its ability to recognize the proper cutting sequence due to environmental conditions (http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S002228368371586X) -specifics of mechanism used by EcoR1: add picture of fig. 1 from http://www.jbc.org/content/274/45/31896.full#F1

Cover letter: -I think these would be good topics to include on this page -both the journal articles I linked above seem like good, thorough articles -I'm afraid I don't understand the actual specific molecular processes of how EcoR1 works well enough to be able to write a reputable article about it -also in general I don't know if I'm using the sandbox correctly. I've been thinking that it's more of a way to make notes to myself about changes I'd like to make or articles I'd like to read but it stresses me out to think that people could look at my work while its in progress
