Carole Frances-Lung (Born in 1966, in San Francisco, CA) is a Contemporary Artist who has created exhibits and art pieces that are presented in different places around the world. She is also a Labor Activist who is most famously known for portraying her alter-ego Frau Fiber, who is a german woman who repairs clothes.


Early Life

Carole Francis-Lung was born in San Francisco in 1966. Lung attended North Dakota State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Textiles and Clothing.

Accomplishments

Carole Frances-Lung started a project called Sewing Rebellion, which was created to bring awareness to mass production cycle of consumer textiles which helped people learn how to repair clothes. She was also apart of the "Made in Haiti" project. she ran it from 2009 – 2012 which helped create an alternative to the mass textile market.Currently, Carole runs an Institute for Labor Generosity Workers and Uniforms out of San Pedro, CA. It is located at a warehouse known as The Loft.
