Centrilia is a Scottish heavy metal band from Glasgow and Stirling. The band formed in February 2013 with members David Sandford (Guitar) Gavin Marshall (Vocals) Gareth Ellis (Bass) Andy Brown (Drums) after the disbanding of the bands Madman is Absolute, Toy and End of Everything.

Centrilia recorded their first 5 track EP between May 2013 and October 2013 with Thomas McNeice (Gang of Four) producing, mixing and mastering. The debut EP You Are In Error was released in December 2013 in a limited edition metal CD case and online. The band recorded their second EP Memento Mori between September and October 2015, with this being released in a limited edition box and digipak and online. Memento Mori was recorded, mixed and mastered by Nick Scholey.

Throughout this period Centrilia played their live debut show at the legendary King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow, Scotland and in 2016 played their first headline show at this venue. The band were also invited to support various acts such as Rob Zombie, Soulfly, Karnivool, Sylosis, Crowbar, Decapitated, From Sorrow to Serenity and were the opening band of the Heavy Scotland festival 2017 sharing the stage with Arch Enemy, Behemoth and more.

In August 2018 they began recording their debut album In The Name Of Nothing with Steven Jones (Bleed From Within) the album was mixed by Terry Date (Pantera, Deftones, Slayer) and mastered by Pelle Henricsson (Meshuggah, Refused, Cult of Luna). The album was released on 28th June 2019 via 233 Records. The album received critical acclaim from the press and helped to build on the fanbase.
