The following is a list of companies and other organizations mentioned in the "Company Index" of Genetic Engineering News or the "Editorial Index: Organizations mentioned in this issue" of Genomics & Proteomics. The list is meant to include only red-links as it is meant as a Wikipedia coverage-guide and editing assistant. Guidelines suggested by Wikipedia:WikiProject Companies state that one notability criterion for inclusion in Wikipedia should be two or more press mentions. This list is an attempt to gather some information on a subset of companies toward satisfying this guideline.

In many periodicals there are two types of company mentions: those in the main text where news is related about the company and those in data tables that are meant as indices to companies in a particular sub-area. I have split mentions in each of these areas out below as I believe that mere mention in a data table is not sufficient to satisfy one of the two minimum press mentions toward satisfaction of the notability criterion.
