MultiKultiUA:

MultiKultiUA is an Ukrainian Non-Government Organization based in Kharkiv, Eastern Ukraine. MultiKultiUA ia commited to Ukrainian-European cooperation and exchange between European Union member countries, especially Germany and Austria, and Ukraine.

History:

MultiKultiUA was in established in 2009 in Kharkiv by Oleg Roy (journalist, Ukraine) and Martin Reuther (DAAD-lecturer, Germany).

Objectives and activities:

The organization defines itself as a promoter of exchange between Ukraine and other countries, especially between German speaking countries and European Union member countries.

MultiKultiUA organizes seminars, conferences, symposia designed: - to contribute to a climate of trust and cooperation between Europe and Ukraine. - to position Kharkiv as an international, cosmopolitan and European city in Eastern Ukraine. - to support and strengthen mobility and intercultural competence of young Ukrainians. - to promote multilinguism. - to support cooperation between Ukrainian and European Universities, scientific and cultural

 institutions.

- to develop tourism in Eastern Ukraine.

In addition to their networking and information policy activities, MultiKultiUA recruits Foreign Language and Project Assistants from German speaking countries who complete internships at Universities and other educational institutions in Kharkiv and Eastern Ukraine.
