Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research
The Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research (CIMVHR) is an initiative to partner military, veterans, industry, government and academia to research and develop the best care for the mental, social and physical heath needs of the Canadian military, veterans and their families[1]. Founded by the Royal Military college and Queens University in 2010, the institute now has partners with over 35 universities across Canada and internationally, working with government, military and industry.[2].
CIMVHR receives funding from organizations such as the Legion and Wounded Warriors Canada, which it then makes available to researchers[3].
