I am a Psychology major in my senior year at Oberlin College where my undergraduate research has consisted of a two-year original study and an ongoing randomized, controlled honors project. I plan to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology, focussing on adolescents. I have also completed two classes on statistical analysis in psychology here at Oberlin (as well as computing statistics for my own research), so I will not be posting any statistics that I do not understand. In short, I may not have the highest qualifications of any editor, but I will write only when I am comfortable with the reputable and recent literature on the topic, cite all of my sources, and otherwise adhere to strict academic standards. If you are opposed to any of my editing, please let me know before deleting it! Thanks!
My primary aim as a wikipedia editor is to join the other students from my Seminar in Adolescent Development in improving the quality and reliability of the Adolescent Development, Peer Groups, and Relational Aggression articles, as well as rewriting the Cliques article as my final project. I feel strongly about both the importance and dangers of Wikipedia, particularly in the field of psychology, so if I can find the time I also hope to help with the WikiProject Psychology.
