Bor Roja Phuleswari Kuwori
Bor Roja Phuleswari Konwari was first Ahom Queen of Assam who govern the Kingdom directly. She was the chief consort of king Siva Singha. Phuleswari Konwari's original name was 'Phulmoti' she was also known as 'Pramateswari' . she was a dancer before becoming chief consort of Siva Singha. Later, astrologers of the ahom kingdom predicted that king Siva Singha was having his chatra-bhanga-yuga which is not good for the king and kingdom. Therefore accordibg to the chief priest advice Siva Singha handed over the reign of the kingdom to his queen Phuleswari.
Phuleswari Konwari contributed a lot to the kingdom. She excavated the famous Gaurisagar tank at the present Sivsagar town of Assam. and She built three temples dedicated to Siva,Vishnu,and Devi on it's side.
Phuleswari Konwari was a devotee of Sakta. She wanted to make 'saktism' the state relegion and took every step that is necessary for it. This policy of Phuleswari Konwari was mainly responsible for the outbreak of the Moamoria rebellion.
