This day

Take a good look at the date

Only once you live this day

It’s a small piece of your fate

That can be used and also may

Be filled with joy and will to strive

So the deeds of today tomorrow will be

Proud and encouraging memory

It’s up to you, your inner drive

Rejoice when you’re looking at the light

Rejoice when you hear the wild wind blow

Thank God who gave you sense and sight,

A heart to love, a mind to grow

Gladden those who are in sorrow clad

And make them understand

That life is too precious to stay sad

There always is a new ascent

Fight for what you feel is right

Help those who need a helping hand

Be loyal to comrades by your side

And keep the faith right to the end

Cannot be found with the mind

The sense of life

Only your soul can find

The luck to love

Cannot be invented

The luck to love

Only your heart can tend it

To be loved

Cannot be won by force

But your own love

Can be the source

It’s over

The ending of a heartfelt love

Is like enduring a dark death

It’s as if all light died above

It makes you feel the abyss’ breath

It’s a farewell of souls forever

It’s an ice-cold hand touching your soul

Whose merciless haunting endeavour

Lets hope-killing shock take control

It leaves your soul so naked and cold

It crushes your chest and your heart

Ahead you can see the black future unfold

And you wish you would depart

To let her go is easily said

But it’s cruel all in all

It comes the time you wish you were dead

And you just feel your free fall

Open up your wings, my soul

And raise yourself to newborn hope

Throw off this grief that took its toll

That blinded you and made you grope

Fly to the light, to the sun

Let your innermost darkness behind

Leave the tracks where your thoughts have run

And let your feelings unwind

I do regret

Only now can I see

What you mean to me

Once we were one

But now you are gone

But when you did go

I did not yet know

That my life would be

So empty and lonely

I could have stopped you that night

Could have hold you tight

But my pride won the fight

Please come back, come back to me

Please come back, come back to see

That I have changed, and have changed my mind

I won’t be tough but understanding and kind

Please come back and heal my heart

Let us make a second start

Did I awake inside a dream?

Do I see mind-wrought reality?

Is this just another dream,

And the rim of my own fantasy?

All I see seems known to me

And I feel joyful like an elf

It’s all enchanted that I see

Is it the world? Is it my self?

Xanthe

No book tells as much

As one of your smiles

It’s a lasting touch

That enchants and beguiles

My heart into dreams

It’s making me feel your soul’s embrace

And your sparkling eye’s bright beams

Are putting a smile upon my face

Intuition at hand I walk through my life

But doubts and questions seem so rife

What is my duty? What are my rights?

Where do I find beauty? How to stand all the fights?

What is for real? What’s only show?

What do I just feel? And what do I know?

One thing that’s for sure

Is that I love you

And I don’t only know it

I’m feeling it, too

There’s a tingling inside

And pressure on my chest

My heart’s beating fast

I can find no rest

Love is just a little word

But now that its demand was heard

It takes me away like a mighty bird

To a place where our souls unite

Where all is pleasure and delight

A picture of beauty

You are like a princess, nice

Your rosy mouth is so delighting

You have fascinating angel’s eyes

And their expression is exciting

You’re like the morning

Fresh and bright

You’re like the sunshine

Warm and polite

You’re as light as a feather

Dancing in the sun

In the dreamlike weather

Which for good has begun

You came out of a fairy-tale

For you greet, and praise, and hail

You stepped into reality

To captivate my fantasy

The four elements of earth

Enjoy to celebrate your birth

You’re the beauty’s daughter

And welcomed by the water

You’re the bliss of the fire

Which burns high in desire

The sun joins the air

And they are pleased to caress

Your golden hair

The earth tries to grow

The most beautiful flowers

So they can join in to show

That beauty empowers
