Christophe lavigne (talk) 21:56, 14 October 2020 (UTC)Christophe Lavigne (Chris Lavigne) is a French-American Entrepreneur, guitarist and songwriter of rock and alternative music, multi-instrumentalist, producer and writer. He is the founder of the medical device company LDR who has been the first company approved by the FDA for artificial cervical disc for one and two level application. Starting his company from a small garage in France, Lavigne was the chairman of the board, President and CEO of LDR from his creation in 2000 until the company was acquired by Zimmer-Biomet in 2016. He brought successfully his company on the public market in 2013 (NASDAQ – LDRH) becoming one of the few Unicorns started in France passing the billion-dollar mark on the NASDAQ in the United States.
Lavigne won the E&Y Entrepreneur of the year in France in 2006 and in Texas Central region in 2011. In parallel of his medical device professional life, Lavigne never quit his passion for music and guitars. It started when he was 15 years old, playing in small venues and bars, touring for more than 2 decades. He recorded professionally many albums with different bands ( ALINEA 3, 6PO, Chris Lavigne ) including recently duet with his son Adri Lavigne ( Just Forever – 2019 - ) and with his daughter Aline Lavigne ( On danse – 2020 - ). In 2015, he founded the rock band Arrows to Fire ( Austin – Tx ) with his friend singer-songwriter John Joyo. They recorded 2 album in 2017 and 2018 co-produced by internationally recognized producer Jacob Sciba ( Gary Clark Jr, Black Pistol Fire ). Amazon’s Music curators were impressed choosing the band’s cover of the Golden Earing hit “Radar Love” for inclusion on its Open Road Amazon original playlist. In 2020, Lavigne published an auto biography titled: Rocker-Entrepreneur: The American Dream of a French Entrepreneur. He is also the co-founder of Foliepop’s, a French pastry and coffee house launched in 2020 in Austin – Texas and an operating partner at Keensight Capital, a leading investment firm in Europe.
