I'm originally from Perth, Western Australia, but after 3 years of living in Bamako, Mali I've found myself living in Portland, Maine, USA. I found Wikipedia way back in 2003, and have tried to make the odd contribution and edits here and there. I am a bit of a stickler for grammar!
I really need to figure out how to make this user page better. I speak Bambara and Italian very badly and French reasonably badly. I am pleased to say, though, that my English is much better!
I'm a bit of a UNIX geek, with my favourite flavours being IRIX, Solaris, Linux and FreeBSD, though not necessarily in that order. I like to eat ice cream and really enjoy a nice pair of slacks. I also collect DVDs, but not CDs.
Currently, I'm working in Brunswick, Maine at Bowdoin College as a Systems Engineer. You can often find me posting on USENET in comp.dcom.sys.cisco and comp.unix.solaris, usually blathering on about tape drives or the like.
I'm also a student at the University of Southern Maine, where I'm majoring in Political Science and minoring in Economics. I'm a big MotoGP fan, and am particularly vocal about Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner. I still wish that Rossi would fulfil many Italians' dreams (and mine!) by riding a Ducati. We can only hope... in the meantime, I ride a Ducati 900SS whenever the weather permits -- i.e., when it's not snowing. :-)
