Lesson part 1: accident with car

edit

When I was walking to school on Wednesday, the 11th of March 2009, at 07:30 I saw an accident. A young girl was crossing the road between two parked cars. As she walked out, she did not look both ways, and a car came very quickly. It hit her with a horrible noise. I started to run towards her, but I remembered my lessons from a first aid course.

First, I had to 'assess the situation'. I looked around, and I decided it was safe.

Next, I got help. I shouted "Help!". A passing car stopped, and a man got out. I asked him to telephone for an ambulance.

I checked the girl, and I remembered my first-aid course. ABC - Airways, breathing, circulation. She was breathing, but there was a lot of blood under her leg.

I took off my jacket and wrapped it tightly around her leg, then I waited for the ambulance. The ambulance arrived, and she was taken to hospital.

After I had recovered, I went to school. I began to shake - I was suffering from shock. I am glad I knew about first aid, because I did not panic until later. When it happened, I was on autopilot. I could relax now, because she was being taken care of.

Thank you for lesson with english, where you showed me, and i was see good tricks with english ^_^

Lesson part 3: Party

edit

Monday the 10th of April was the birthday of my friend. Her name is Susan, and she was 18 years old. She had a party at her house, and she invited all of her friends and workmates. I got to the party at 7PM - I was a little early, so I was the first to arrive. While we waited for the other guests, we chatted, and had some snacks - crisps, peanuts and sausage rolls. Susan was worried that nobody else would turn up, but soon enough, the doorbell rang and more people arrived. Before long, the house was full and everyone was talking. Susan put some music on, and some people danced. Others went into the kitchen, so that they could carry on their conversations. Everyone was having fun - but then, at about 11PM, someone knocked at the door. It was a neighbour, complaining about all the noise. He was not too angry though, and he came into the house and had a drink. Before long, he had joined in our party!
