This is the word of the week page. The purpose is to promote the use of the rich vocabulary of the English language in Wikipedia. The use of each word will run for one week, running Sunday through Saturday (UTC). Please feel free to add your name to the list below if you'd like to participate. The winner of each week's contest can pick the word for the next week.
Points:
- Use the word in an article- 5 points,
- In a policy, guideline, or main space essay- 3 points,
- On an article talk page- 2 points,
- In a discussion in admin space like ANI, a project space talk page, or a user talk page- 1 point.
Rules:
The entire set of rules are only available by hardcopy owing to restrictions in storage space on Wikipedia's servers. A copy can be obtained by completing a "Request for forwarding of the rules of 'Word of the Week'" in triplicate and forwarding to;
