I am currently pursuing an interdisciplinary PhD at Emory University. My research interests are cultural studies, critical regional studies, anthropology, new media, and theory. I have an MFA in creative writing from Cornell, where I taught creative writing and freshmen English for three years. I write and publish some of my writing. Before that, I lived in Moncton, New Brunswick on a Fulbright Grant.
I am the cofounder and creative director for T-Possibility, a nonprofit in Chauvin, Louisiana dedicated to facilitating cultural activity.
I have worked as an offshore roustabout, an archery instructor, a personal chef, and a tutor.
I practice Hung Ga kung fu of the Yee lineage (under Sifu Pedro Cepero Yee) and of the Taiwanese lineage (under ShrFu Gary Mitchell).
