The Westmont Theater is a historic theater on Haddon Avenue in the Westmont section of Haddon Township, Camden County, New Jersey. It was built in 1927 by Morris Handel and A.J. Rovner. On September 5, 1927, 5,000 people were reported to be waiting in line for tickets to see the first movie, Lon Chaney's The Unknown. After suffering economic hardships, resulting the the theater's closure and sale, Philadelphia architect David Supowitz redesigned the theater, and it re-opened Thanksgiving morning in 1949, and regained its prominence in the area.
It was registered on June 23, 2009 as a historic site with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
