The Macquarie University Incubator is a space to research and develop ideas that can be commercialised. It is a part of the Macquarie Park Innovation District (MPID) project.[1]Macquarie University received $1 million grant from the New South Wales government to build the incubator. The University has also committed about $7 million to the incubator with financial support of the big businesses and the New South Wales government.[2]
