"Oroville Dam"

• The history, the neutral view points from different events and as well the significant uses the Oroville Dam has for Northern California and the Central valley. This article gives a list of many events that led up to the now well known Oroville spillage and breakaway of the Dam which led to nearly 190,000 people being evacuated in the area. From evaluating the Article Oroville Dam, I have observed claims, evidence, links and any other outside sourcing or possibly even bias. It seems to me as the writer/writers of this article are very critical with how they list events and the history of the Dam in chronological order. As well some information posted on this page I believe seemed to be a little unnecessary for the reader, as the possible multiple authors included citing of the Feather River Fish Hatchery. This did not seem relevant to the article as it gave me as the reader a little side note and distraction of what the article was about. Though from checking the talk page it seemed as if this article was a reliable source due the fact it was rated as a GA-Class for quality and a high score of importance on the WikiProject Dams. The evidence that was presented as well was resourceful and informative, it is shown as followed: Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Cal OSHA, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Headward erosion, California Department of Water, Central Valley ProjectResources, Oroville-Thermalito Complex, and ect. From this information being posted on the article it seems as from what is being evaluated that there is plenty of information cited and stated in this article and nothing that I would see the reader would need in an informative article briefing of this sorts is needed. Although with some of the information being listed I believe the reader isn't getting as much Info about whats happening when the Dam ends up flooding, breaking and forcing those citizens of Oroville to evacuate the premise. In this regard though the Author/Authors does cite a visual representation of what is happening at the cite and what the damage is after all of the major downpours of the winter of 2017 in California. Instead it is noted the this article is mostly focused on a briefing of the history and usage of the Dam rather than a detailed description of the significant events that could have caused catastrophe. All in all though the Article the Oroville Dam Does do a good job of stating the facts, evidence, events, and outside sources without any real bias.
