Dynamic QR Codes

edit

Dynamic QR Codes (Draft):

While classic QR Codes are static, 'it means when user generates a QR Code, the target URL inside is fixed'. Dynamic QR Codes allows owner to modify at any time the target URL that QR Code is pointing and redirect users (readers) to a new target URL with the same QR Code. As a direct benefit of using this improvement of the QR Code technology, the owner doesn't need to generate a new QR Cde and print it again when changing the content. It can reduce the effort and costs of starting a new advertisement campaign because the physical implementation of the QR Codes no needs changes. At the same time, the use of Dynamic QR Codes has another direct benefit for webmasters and SEO developers. By using Dynamic QR Codes, they can reduce the number of 404 errors and 301 redirects of a website. Until now, if a user scans a deprecated QR Code that is displayed in products, cards, reviews and more, the user is redirected to an error page with a 404 error because the page has been removed and now it doesn't exist. It also generates failures in web search engines that has as a result a worse SEO positioning. Indirect benefits of use of Dynamic QR Codes are shown in next article: Smart QR Codes
