Professor Radhakrishna Maringanti (14th July 1941 – 21 Jan 2022) was an Indian eminent Scientist and Professor of Computer Science and Electronics.[1]

Biography

Professor Radhakrishna Maringanti worked primarily in Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, NIT – Srinagar, TTTI-Chandigarh, IIIT – Allahabad.  And worked for some time in Delft-Holland, Leeds, Edinburgh, Cambridge-UK, Germany, CPSC-Philippines. Worked in MIT- America. He visited as an Examiner, Faculty, visiting professor and as consultant outside India in 70 plus institutions including in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, South Korea, Japan, Sweden, UK, USA, Holland, Australia and Muscat.

Early life

He had  school education in Bhadrachalam, all in Telugu medium, in Govt. schools. After finishing his MSc in Nuclear Physics from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, in 1962-63, he brought his multifaceted talents to the core by working in varied and diverse fields. He is among the first generation Indian Computer scientists who entered Computer field during 1960s, while at BARC Bombay.
