Santeswim is an athletic event designed specifically for college athletes by renowned explorer and Buffalo native Ian Blake.
Santeswim is based around the principle of competitors competing a swim race over 109 meters in a FINA recognised pool carrying baseball bat and wearing a hockey helmet. The main objective is not time based but to complete the 109 meter course without raising the bat out of the water or displacing water with your helmet. The competitor judged to have complete the course with the most style is considered the winner.
Santeswim has developed a cult following in some American States particularly in the South.
Competitors are disqualified if they also fail to adhere to strict swimming attire which must be matched to the competitors favourite 52 deck card game.
