Craig Bloxom is best known as the bassplayer/singer of Australian rock band vSpy vSpy who formed in Sydney in 1981 with Mike Weiley (guitar) and Cliff Grigg (drums) respectively.
He was born in Ingelwood, Los Angeles on July 31st 1959 to George and Arliene Bloxom who moved to Australia in 1965 to get away from the rising crime rate in L.A. After growing up in Perth WA and later Nelson Bay NSW, he met Mike Weiley at high school and moved to Sydney where they lived and worked for 19 years in one of Sydney’s most enduring pub rock bands of the eighties. The band received a gold record award for 70,000 sales the AO MOD TV VERS album released in 1986 and they toured Australia and internationally particularly Brasil which was a sucessful market for them into the 1990's.
Craig has worked as a chef since finishing with the band and completing a formal 4 year apprenticeship in various hotels. He is married to Sheri Bird and currently lives in Newcastle NSW.
