[edit]Written by Inori and illustrated by Akamoku, The Girl Who Wants To Be A Hero And The Girl Who Ought To Be A Hero was published on November 10, 2023 by Dengeki Bunko.[3] It is licensed in English by Yen Press,[4] which released it on July 8, 2025.[2]
In the afterword of the English-language version of the novel, Inori wrote "here's to hoping there will be a next volume".[5] As of August 2026, no sequel has been released.[6]
