Ook! is an esoteric programming language based on Brainfuck written by David Morgan-Mar. Ook! uses orangutan vocalizations with different inflections as mentioned by Terry Pratchett in his Discworld series of fantasy novels to represent the commands from Brainfuck. In the novels the orang-utan Librarian of Unseen University had been turned into an orangutan at some point and seems to prefer life as an orangutan.
Ook! interpreters have been implemented in several programming languages such as Perl, Ruby and Python. The open-source office suite Open Office offers an extension which allows Ook! to be used as a scripting language within Open Office.
