Block 1: Blocked on account of editing in a manner that created oversight issues
editThis was my first block back in November 2011. It happened on Thanksgiving. Back then I didn't know what oversighting was on Wikipedia. I was pretty clueless back then. I didn't think it would harm anything if I consulted information from the person themselves. However, I was violating the outing policy, and was using Primary sources. User:WilliamH was going after my cleaning up my mess as well as that of others because an argument broke out which was dragging other users into it. He blocked me and two others for creating content that needed oversighting. I appealed to ArbCom's BASC, explained my situation, what I did, learned what I was doing wrong, and let them consider my appeal. A few days later, User:Mailer diablo accepted my appeal and unblocked me. I have sworn to retire from Wikipedia, should I do it again. This incident required ArbCom's Ban Appeals Sub-Committee to be involved.
Block 2: On suspicion of compromised account
editOn the morning of February 4, 2012, I was working on my userpage. Under the TW, menu, I accidentally clicked on ARV. Twinkle's safeguard against reporting one self glitched. It gave me the usual, "You don't want to report yourself, do you?" message but filed the report anyways as can be seen here. User:Toddst1 blocked me on suspicion of my account being compromised. He filed an ANI thread about me which can be viewed here where the community saw this as a misclick. My unblock followed a few hours later by User:Pedro.
