Identity
editI'm a french physicist working on modeling the laser processing of matter to develop new laser technologies in view of developing new applications. In particular, I spent quite many years in studying the formation mechanisms of nanostructures induced by laser irradiation.
I'm also drummer in my bands and producer in Tousketa Productions e-label, with which we produce our TCF and Team Partout music bands.
After a 2-years stay at BAM in Berlin for my post-doc fellowship, I caught the great opportunity to recover the lack of contemporary history teaching typical from french middle and high schools. For that purpose, Berlin is one of the centers of Europe as it is linked to most of the 20th century history. I was living in Prenzlauer Berg, close to the first Biergarten.
Currently, I'm settled in Prague, in the country of the most impressive political dissident Vaclav Havel, and living in Vinohrady, the place of former wine seeders.
Research in physics
editI was mainly motivated to work on studying self-organization effects in matter irradiated by laser light. But a PhD and more interesting investigations, it became clear that self-organization is just a buzzword hiding several competing nice physical phenomena of very different natures. Hence, I'm working at modeling them all together and also dedicate a large part of my time to the development of new peaceful applications of lasers.
I'm currently involved in Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions with a project aiming to develop my scientific career in laser-matter interaction, at the Hilase Centre (Institute Of Physics), neighbor of the ELI laser beams.
You can catch all my references on my research website and other community engines (Scholar Google, Web of Science).
Musical activities
editI mainly play drums and produce the albums of my bands in Paris, France. I'm regularly jamming with local musicians in Berlin and Prague.
I play drums in jazz bands in Marseille (France) and Prague (Czech Republic). I learnt drums by jamming few years and had lessons with two teachers : Luc Heller (Etienne Daho, Brigitte Fontaine) and William Roudil.
I love funk, afro-cuban jazz, fusion jazz, hip-hop, soul, flamenco, and classical music.
