You might guess from the Cynewulf username that my interests lie in the Old English language and to Old Norse as well as Icelandic. I retired a couple of years ago after a very varied carreer that exposed me to computing, electronics, microscopy, semiconductor manufacture, clinical trial management and pharmacology as well as working closely with government bodies, university research departments and NHS research clinicians. I live in England. I have some technical and some business qualifications but the skills I value the most are the ones I learned from my love of language.
I used to be a member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP) and received a lot of training from them.
I copy edit doctoral theses and scientific papers in my spare time and thought that it would be good to do something with Wikipedia - the best resource on the planet!
I would be happy to collaborate but want to become proficient at using the Wikipedia system first, and getting a handful of edits under my belt.
