Provision is also included which applies the provisions of section 23 of the Interpretation and General Clauses Ordinance to any regulation the operation of which has been discontinued as if that regulation had been repealed. The principal effect of this is that an offence committed under any regulation before its operation was discontinued may be prosecuted notwithstanding the discontinuance of the operation of such regulation.[28]

- To prohibit the use in certain circumstances of any facial covering that is likely to prevent identification and provide for an offence (section 3) (with a defence where the person charged with the offence had lawful authority or reasonable excuse at the time of the alleged offence (section 4)); empower a police officer to require a person in a public place to remove the person's facial covering in certain circumstances and provide for non-compliance to be an offence (section 5); and provide for an extension of the prosecution time limit for an offence under section 3(2) or 5(3) to 12 months beginning on the date on which the offence is committed (section 6).[34]

- To empower the Chief Secretary for Administration to grant exemptions from any requirement under any enactment for preventing, protecting against, delaying or otherwise controlling the incidence or transmission of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) or treating patients with the disease.[38]

As a result, the Compensation (Defence) Notice of Claim Rules and the Shipping Claims Tribunal Rules made under those Regulations in Appendices I and II shall also cease to have effect from 1 June 1997.

- 禁止蒙面規例:禁止在某些情況下使用相當可能阻止識辨身分的蒙面物品,並為此訂定一項罪行(第3條)(被控犯該罪行並在有關指控罪行發生時有合法權限或合理辯解的人,對該罪行有免責辯護(第4條));賦權予警務人員,在某些情況下要求身處公眾地方的人除去該人的蒙面物品,並將不遵從要求定位罪行(第五條);及規定就第3(2)或5(3)條所訂罪行而言,將檢控期限延長至自干犯該罪行當日起計的12個月(第6條)。
- 1997年緊急情況權力 (延展及修訂合併) 條例 (規例失效) 令:宣佈載列於《緊急情況權力 (延展及修訂合併) 條例》(第251章)附表1的《補償 (防衛) 規例》及附表2中根據《補償 (防衛) 修訂規例》修訂的規例,將於1997年6月1日即告失效。因此,載列於附錄I及II中根據有關規例訂立的《補償 (防衛) 申索通知規例》及《船舶申索審裁處規例》,也於1997年6月1日失效。
