Mario must find six hidden coins hidden in separate areas in order to break the seal that Wario has placed on Mario's castle.[1]

Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins was developed by Nintendo R&D1 and published by Nintendo.[1]

A Virtual Console release for the 3DS eShop was released in North America and Europe on September 29, 2011, and in Japan on October 12, 2011.[1]

Reception

Corbie Dillard of Nintendo Life reflected that 6 Golden Coins was "more well-rounded" and more of a "console-quality gaming experience" than its predecessor.[1]

Legacy
