The lead is a little weak. Could describe what a Anglo Saxon is.
No cited info on the Materials that were used for their clothing.

Pics of men's clothing examples were mostly of kings not the other types.
basically nothing notable about children's clothes just that they were smaller then adults.
Had a section on Embroidery but didn't say anything about it being used on clothes. Just an example of it being used on a tapestry.

editI have chosen to edit the article Anglo-Saxon dress. It is a start-class article. I would like to make the lead more informative. I would like to include how class is very important to them and is shown by the way they dress. The article has information on the types of material used in making their clothing, but it does not cite any sources to back up this information. The article has sections on men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing. The men’s section includes nine sections of information. The sections on women’s and children’s clothing do not have much information at all. I would like to add more information to both the women and children’s sections and add some pictures as examples in the men’s sections. There is a section on embroidery, but it doesn’t say anything about them using it on clothing. The article has a paragraph about how they used embroidery on tapestries.

editI don't see many additional changes that can be made to your article, that you have not listed in your proposal. I agree that the lead and men's and women's clothing sections could be improved and made more informative. Adding pictures is a very good idea to help the reader visualize what the Anglo Saxon dress was actually like, rather than just writing about it.

editHi Dawn - I think you've chosen a good article to work with. As a start-class, this article is somewhat developed, but also lacking in many ways. I thought it was really interesting how there's this gender imbalance in terms of how clothing for women isn't represented as well. I think that would be an excellent place to improve. There's something weird going on here with references. I've asked one of our assigned Wiki Ed Staff, so make sure you remind me to check on that and let you know during our conference. Sources look good, but I'm wondering if you might be able to find a book through our library that you could add to these? Finally, let's talk about adding images.
