"The North American Purebred Registry, Inc. is a professional dog registry service that registers purebred dogs from the United States, Canada, and the American Territories. They register all breeds of purebred dogs and have over 300 breeds currently registered."^[1]

History In, 1995 the North American Beagle Registry was started because the organization saw an overwhelming demand from dog owners to register other breeds of dog. Then in the spring of 1998, the North American Purebred Dog Registry (NAPDR) was formed. In December of 2009, the group incorporated and formed what is now the North American Purebred Registry, Inc.^[2]

The American Kennel Club actually suspended the NAPDR with the last update on that suspension being back in 2005 ^[3]

Currently the North American Purebred Registry, Inc. accepts one hundred different types of hybrid dogs^[4]Dallas Eddington (talk) 02:00, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
