Standard Schedules Information Manual
The Standard Schedules Information Manual is a standard maintained by IATA[1] for exchanging Airline Schedules information.
This manual describes message formats to exchange schedule information among systems involved in air travel (airlines, airports, GDS, reservation systems, ...). There are two types of messages:
- Standard Schedules Message (SSM): describes the schedule of an airline's regular flights
- Ad-Hoc Schedules Message (ASM): describes specific variations (e.g. cancellations or reschedules) on regular flights
