Agriculture Practice
editAgriculture is the main stay of the economy. Farming, fishing and hunting are the occupations of the Anghan people. The land vegetation is usually considered suitable for the habitation of less harmful animals while the soil type is suitable for farming. This perhaps also explains why the dominant occupation of the people is farming. They mostly practised shifting cultivation. Apart from cultivation, the farmers of the different Anghan communities engaged in the domestication of animals and birds. Those in the riverine side practiced fishing are precision/Irrigation system of Farming
Crop cultivation
editCulturally, since time immemorial, the Anghan had been farmers, especially during the rainy season producing food crops like sorghum (Kpezha), millet (Shin), beans (Jhek), yams (Nchir), beniseed (nyhing), okra (Nfok), finger millet (gbaan), groundnut (yhuik), potato (Lawur), Maize (Ghul), Rice (Chianbien) Ginger (jhinyak) pepper (chianyak) Turmeric (magina) etc., with the entire economy heavily dependent on maize, rice, ginger and yam.
Animal rearing
editThe Anghan also since long ago reared animals such as the Chicken (Nyhuon) dog (Gbia), pig (Khaadde), goat (Jhuon) and sheep (Nchaam).

editThe Anghan people are very Enterprising, they have good Entrepreneur with Agricultural technology ( Mayal Agricultural Services Company Limited , Yal Organic Farms Enterprise and many more indegineous companies that produce and processed Agricultural Products and Services

The Anghan (Kamantan) are found in Zanngo and Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna state, in the Middle Belt area of Nigeria.[2]
