About me
My name is Daniel, I am a wildlife conservationist. I have worked at this in a variety of ways; I have volunteered at animal sanctuaries in Ireland, South Africa, Bolivia, and Cameroon, working mostly with primates but also with dogs, pumas and in construction. I have an MSc in Primate Conservation but my current research (and focus of my PhD) is primarily in illegal and unsustainable wildlife trade. I have researched illegal wildlife trade in Morocco, Malaysia and Indonesia and published scientific papers on the topic. I started editing Wikipedia articles because there are some topics on which I have done a lot of background reading for my masters or further research that are not always accurate or complete and I hope to add relevant scientific references.
