When I get bored, I edit Wikipedia - the greatest single repository (depository? suppository?) of information in the History of Mankind. Why do I do it? My innate nature to say, "Hey, I see an error there. That pisses me off." *fixes error* "Ahhhhhhhh." *smiles, feels smart*
Despite the fact that I am only slightly older than the World Wide Web AND somewhat interested in computers and the like, I am completely incompetent with even basic forms of programming language or HTML or anything. You'll therefore find a reason as to the austerity of my user page, which I only created out of envy of some of these other scoundrels' pages that are all hypertexty.
I'm a pretty good writer and knowledgeable about quite a bit of random stuff (mostly thanks to Wikipedia, I'll admit), especially involving grammar and syntax (in English, I'm not like some of these super-editors who can speak 10 languages [or claim to with those vile banners]). So if I make an edit that's minor (even if I didn't mark it minor, it usually is) it's probably right (not to sound cocky or anything).
However, I may accidentally edit something 4 or 5 times in a row because I can't figure out how to link something properly or whatever - so don't be worried about my habit of "cluster-editing". I'm aware that I could push the "preview" button, but I don't trust it much for some reason and I rarely utilize it. Some like vinegar on their French Fries, some like their edits to be viewed on the article for real before proofreading a second time.
Here's my blog, if you care to read some (I think) amusing and engaging random insights into the way a young disaffected American guy thinks. There's three other people whom I let post on it, but you can ignore most of their "contributions" and focus on the star of the show: me. Especially ignore Joe's posts - he claims Green Day and Blink-182 are "the most influential bands of our generation". What a moron. I guess he can be somewhat forgiven because of the fact he's diabetic. Here's the site: http://danielrocks15.blogspot.com/ For MY ideas on the best bands of our generation (if you really were wondering what I proposed as counterexamples to Joe's suggestions) you can visit my last.fm page - I highly recommend this site for all music lovers. http://www.last.fm/user/danielrocks15/ - my page Send me a friend invite on last.fm or comment on either, telling me you read my Wiki profile (and - presumably - liked it), and I'll give you . . . absolutely nothing. However, if you do one of the aforementioned things, we can both sit back and marvel together in a quasi-post-orgasmic state about the amazingness of this hur Intanet thang and how it enables complete strangers to connect and share ideas and information - complete strangers that never would have otherwise known of the other's existence.
Reading this crap at the bottom, I hope didn't violate any copyright (please, whatever you do, don't raid my house - I do own golf clubs and a mean right hook - so just tell me and I'll fix it) and I'm assuming all this is verifiable, if only because I posted links. GFDL might as well stand for "Gay Florida Dancing League" for all I care, so go ahead and license this.
Thanks for reading this, have a extraordinary day, and, yes, there really is no "Santa Claus".
