This is a season-by-season breakdown of the last winless National Football League (NFL) team (or teams) in each league. This list indicates the teams who lost the most games in a season before achieving their first win.[1]
Twelve teams have gone an entire season of 8 games or more without recording a win, the most recent being the 2017 Browns, who joined the 2008 Lions in going 0-16 in a regular season. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went 26 games between 1976 and 1977 before recording their first win in franchise history, a record which stands today.
