Durban Botanic Gardens Tea Kiosk new article content ...
The Natal Anti-Tuberculosis Association (NATBA 002-220 NPO) was formed in 1932. It is a non-profit organization to assist tuberculosis sufferers.
The Tea Kiosk at the Durban Botanic Gardens was established in 1963 in order to generate income to supply tuberculosis patients with food parcels as they cannot take their medication on an empty stomach. Failure to complete the six month course of medication leads to the patient becoming infectious again and more people becoming infected.
