Dmedia
editDmedia is a distributed media library. It's goals are to make synchronization super easy, and to lay groundwork for a distributed content creation workflow. It is written in Python and JavaScript and uses CouchDB to store metadata of media files. Dmedia is free software and licenced under the GNU Affero GPL v3 licence. [1]

editDmedia has a graphical user interface for importing media files into the library which features an application indicator and desktop notifications.
