COBUS
editThe College Of the Bahamas Union of Students
editGeneral Information
editThe College of The Bahamas Union of Students serves as the student voice to the faculty and administration among other roles. The president of COBUS sits on the Council of The College of The Bahamas. Additionally, under COBUS leadership, students are the initiators and planners of a large number of campus activities under the aegis of the Student Activities Department. Housed in the Student Union Building, COBUS has direct responsibility for the welfare of all campus clubs and organisations. [1]
The College of The Bahamas Union of Students, the organisation through which the students run their affairs, elects a Student Government which functions as the administrative body of the Union of Students. All students automatically become members of the Union on payment of the Student Activity Fee. This entitles them to membership in clubs and participation in College activities, subject to the general responsibilities required of College students [2]
