Samuelsohn is private company based in Montreal, Canada. Founded in 1923 by Lesser Samuelsohn; it is both a brand name and wholly owned factory producing men's luxury tailored clothing. Samuelsohn designs and produces men's suits, sport jackets, trousers, and outerwear sold in more than 200 of the stores in North America.[1]
History
editLesser Samuelsohn emigrated from New York to Canada in 1923, where he established the brand Samuelsohn. In 1998 Samuelsohn celebrates the opening of it's current facilities, headquarters and factory in Montreal. 2010 Grano retail investments purchases Samuelsohn, and 1 year later Samuelsohn opens it's first showroom on 57th Street in New York City.[2] In 2013 Samuelsohn acquires the well-known U.S. brand and factory called Hickey Freeman[3] and becomes one of the largest manufacturers of men's luxury clothing in North America.
