Devante Efe Onojaife (born 15 April 1998 in Colchester, England) is an English professional rugby player. Onojaife is a versatile player, and can play either in the second or back row. Onojaife grew up in Dubai from the age of 7 to 16. Onojaife is a product of Dubai Exiles. Onojaife has won England representative honours for the U18 and Scotland U20 sides.


At 16 Onojaife made the move from Jumeirah College to Stowe School where he joined housemaster (Grenville House) Alan Hughes. At the end of his two years at Stowe he was awarded with the prestigious 'Colin Shillington' award for achieving "great sporting excellence" as well as his first professional contract to join the Premiership side Northampton Saints. Devante impressed early on and made his first team debut just after four months in the 24-16 Anglo-Welsh Cup win against the Falcons at Kingston Park in November 2016.

Devante in his second year at saints also went on to represent Scotland U20 in the Six Nations Under 20s Championship and World Rugby Under 20 Championship.

More recently Onojaife helped Northampton Saints become the first ever winners of the Premiership Cup when they defeated Saracens 23 – 9 in the final at Franklin's Gardens on 17 March 2019. It was the Saints first domestic cup triumph since winning the 2009–10 LV Cup and their second overall.
