I, Dezwitser was born and grew up in Rotterdam, but in 1968 I settled in Basle in Switzerland, where I lived for 30 years. At the end of 1999 I moved "for 1 or 2 years" to Vientiane, Laos, to work as a volunteer in one of the ministries. Now, however, still in Vientiane, I am retired and take life somewhat easier (I must have adapted to the laotian way of life).
Besides the english Wikipedia I sometimes contribute to the german and the dutch Wikipedias; most of my modest contributions are about Laos and subjects related to it.
