GACH Balangir is one of three govt. Run ayurvedic college in the state of odisha.it is established in th year 1975 by the govt.of odisha Currently college offers BAMS(bachelor in ayurvedic medicine and surgury) and MD(ayu) in Rog nidan and Vikruti vigya College have 30 under graduates and 04 post graduates seats.admision to the college in undergraduates Through NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test)and post graduate Admision occurs through AIAPGET(All india Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test) .

College have a large library of diffrent ayurvedic books ,modern books ,samhita ,veda ,purana,journal and magazine .and college have two conference hall for diffrent Cultural programe and a yoga hall for yoga practice.
Hospital
There is a 50 bed hospital within the campus with male ward and femal ward.there are OPD and IPD service available for patient .OPD timing is 9 AM to 5PM .and also hospital programe for special geriatic care on OPD on wednesday and sunday.And ECG ,ECHO,Ultra sound,TMT,X-RAY Test are Done in the college .

College have a diffrent panchkarma deparment panchakarma therapy .all the pancha karma therapy available in the department
Department of Anatomy(Rachana sharira)
There is a special department for Rachna sharira for dissection.all organs and bone set available in the department for student.
Department of dravyaguna and rasshashtra
College also have a special deapartment of dravyaguna in which practical is done and there diffrent planted tree infront of department for student .
