Dhevdhas Nair is a British jazz musician, pianist and composer.
Nair was a key member of Sankomota, and Ray Carless’ Club Skaaville Allstars. Starting his early career with Sami el-Salahi in the Sudan and later with Sankomota in Southern Africa, he has worked with a wide variety of African, jazz and rock musicians including Hugh Masekela, Orchestra Jazira, Spirit of the Rhino Drum, Nana Tsiboe, Darryl Waye (Curved Air), Emma Shapplin, George Dalaris, Steve Hackett (Genesis) and Roz Harding. He has written for and performed with the Daksha Sheth Dance Company, and vocal group Asima in South India, The London Bubble Theatre Company, and with Dominic Bury, Sophie Maisey and Katharina Engel in Theatre Voliere.
