I appreciate good music of all genres. Music is my passion, and so is Jody Watley. My knowledge, list of resources and information for her are vast down to the smallest detail. My second passion would be writing, which is also why I became a part of Wikipedia contributors.
My goal is to share my knowledge with those who come to read about Jody Watley on Wikipedia, and to share the knowledge with integrity (not rumor, speculation, sloppy journalism without fact checking or hype), just the facts with references to back up any additions or improvements to the article.
Every notable artist should have bio articles which do justice to a career as a whole. Doing so requires capturing nuances and depth at all phases of a career.
I follow the guidelines by Wikipedia, and visit other favorite or notable musician or artist articles as well. Often, I am confused by what appears to be a double standard when it comes to improving Watley's page. I have wondered if there are different rules depending on the artist, but I have not found that section in the Help pages.
Oddly, many of my edits of noteworthy aspects of Watley's career complete with full reference and source material - including but not limited to actual quotes pulled from Watley's interviews, career benchmarks, cultural impact, etc seem to get removed or re-edited by others who really don't seem to have a clue which is perculiar at best - and unfortunate at the worst.
I may struggle with Wiki formatting, as it's quite complicated, I'm learning all the time.
