Dima Alansari was born in 1977 in Beirut Lebanon. Filmmaker, Performing Artist, Producer, and university teacher Dima Al Ansari is a Chevening scholar with an MA in filmmaking from Goldsmith, University of London. With 20 years of experience in the TV & Film production industry, Dima has lived & worked in several countries including, Lebanon, Kuwait, UAE, & Vancouver, Canada; she is currently settled in Beirut and works as the Arts and Development Manager at LOYAC. She has produced numerous videos and documentaries including the internationally acclaimed and award-winning National Geographic 2D Imax film Journey to Mecca as well as the widely distributed feature documentary Wajd: Songs of Separation. Her short documentary directorial debut At Home with the Horses premiered at the Toronto film festival and has toured worldwide. She is currently in pre-production on her first fiction short Mabrook. Dima’s passion lies in making impossible dreams, exciting stories and challenging ideas come to life through film & theatre.
