F/A-18 Hornet is a video game developed and published by Graphic Simulations for the Macintosh and Windows in 1993. It was followed by versions 2.0 (1995) and 3.0 (1997), which added additional features and campaign missions. Graphic Simulations also released F/A-18 Korea.[1]
Gameplay
editF/A-18 Hornet is a combat flight simulator featuring the F/A-18 Hornet.
F/A-18 Hornet 3.0 adds to the mission set from version 2.0, an interactive training guide, and true radar masking.[2]
Reception
editIn 1996, Next Generation listed F/A-18 Hornet 2.0 as number 67 on their "Top 100 Games of All Time", commenting that, "the detail in the worlds is very high, and the graphics are great."[3]
Next Generation rated it three stars out of five, and stated that "Hornet 3.0 won't make your jaw drop, but it won't leave you feeling ripped off either. With just enough new features to justify the incremental version number increase, it's worth the time of Mac flight fans."[2]
