Hello, Bonjour, Hola, Namaste, Salam, and Sain Bainuu!

I am a travel nomad hailing from Germany - hopping from one country to the next, spending a few months in each place exploring the local culture, food, music, literature, history and everything else that I can find. I grew up in a home where all the children were asked to learn one new thing a day. Wikipedia was always a great place to find my 'one' thing.

Here, I hope, I can write about the things and people I have learned about and found throughout my life and adventures, while contributing and making improvements where I can.

That's my little story and I hope to hear yours, too. Since you're here already, how about you drop a 'hello' on my talk page?

Update - 03/02/2020:

I am officially joining the WikiProject Women in Red to counter the systemic bias. I have seen plenty of it in actual life all around me and would love to contribute to the cause.

In 2013, following a 3-day discussion with a social activist for women's rights, I interviewed about 40 women in my life to develop a better understanding of the discrimination, sexual harassment and abuse they might have experienced. It turned out that each one of them had a traumatic horror story to tell. Since then, I've been doing what I can to educate the men and other people I've met about the terrors we've inflicted upon women all around us. I shall now use this platform to write more for the women I've learned about since then.

Update - 06/02/2020

I am officially joining the WikiProject Diversity to write about notable people and organizations who are actively involved with promoting diversity and inclusion around the world, alongside other topics related to the subject.

Over the years I have seen discrimination and bias based on cultural and racial grounds deeply rooted in individuals, groups, societies, cults, and organizations. But, I have also seen and studied about the champions tirelessly working to make the world more diverse and inclusive.

Prost.
