The Miami University School of Engineering and Applied Science ("SEAS") is an academic unit of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. The School offers academic programs in engineering, computing, and nursing. The early years of the School focused on professionally-oriented education with majors industrial technology, paper technology, home economics, systems analysis, secretarial science, and nursing. Today the School offers a broad spectrum of majors, listed below, as well as selected graduate programs. The School's departments and majors are offered on all three of Miami's Ohio campuses: Oxford, Hamilton, and Middleton.
The School's first Director and Dean was George Bowers, serving 1963-1983. The administration included Dean Roscoe Ward (1983-1988), Dean David C. Haddad (1988-1998), and Acting Dean Don Byrkett (1998 - 2000). The School's current Dean is Marek Dollár.
