I work at the National Library of Scotland as Systems Librarian on George IV Bridge in Edinburgh. I'm mostly responsible for managing the library management system used by NLS and am involved in making our collections as widely accessible as possible. I have a postgraduate Diploma in Information Management from Robert Gordon University and am bilingual English and French.
Interests
editMy professional interests lie mostly in metadata and library systems. I think Libraries offer a great public service. Then, my (less professional) interests cover:
- knitting and other wool related crafts
- nature: I am interested in environmental issues and I like going out cycling, hiking, running as often as possible (when not at work, "craft-ing", reading or socializing, though I sometimes do some of those things at the same time)
- books (and generally speaking information)
- Rwanda after a stay there in 2001-2003
