George Francis Nangale (aged 60) has developed and acquired skills and experiences related to public and private services in agricultural engineering, legislation, politics and policy issues; social enterprising; humanitarian deliverance; psychology and social philosophy; venture capitalism; public lotteries management; cotton procurement and ginning; contract farming management; investment bank governance; media; renewable energy and the environment over the past 30 years. He graduated in agricultural engineering in 1988 at University of Dar es Salaam/Sokoine University of Agriculture and pursued post-graduate studies in renewable energy and environment science; and business administration and philosophy at the University of Reading and Maastricht School of Management in 1992 and 2013, respectively, which best position him to deal with complex development processes. He has written several books and articles on political philosophy and engineering management and also served as a Member of Parliament in the East African Legislative Assembly from 2001 to 2012 where he chaired two strong Parliamentary Standing Committees; first the Committee on Trade and Infrastructure and second the Committee on Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Tourism; and was elected the President of the Tanzania Red Cross Society and subsequently Member of the International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC) Governing Board from 2013 to 2015. He is a social entrepreneur, professional writer and founder of Sibuka Media House in Tanzania, serves as a non-executive director of a number of business enterprises and non-governmental organizations. He is a Doctor of Business Administration in Agricultural Enterprise from Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands.
